*If your pet has matting, there may be additional charges involved ranging from $20-$75 depending on the severity. Whenever possible, we will work to detangle your pet’s coat and salvage as much as we can, following your preferred style. However. If the matting is severe, it may causes discomfort or pain for your pet, and in such case the groomer may have to shave them down. For extensive matting covering the entire body or legs, there may be nonrefundable shave down fees up to $50. It’s important to note that removing heavy matting carries some risks, such as minor nicks, abrasions, and the possibility of revealing underlying skin conditions or rashes. Diva Doggy Spa and the groomer can not be held responsible for these issues., as they are common outcome of shave down, and we do not cover any associated veterinarian bills.

Policies

CANCELLATION /RESCHEDULE

1. To cancel or reschedule a dog grooming appointment, we kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. If cancellation or reschedule occurs less than 48 hours’ notice, a $50 cancellation fee per pet will be applied 2. In the event that we arrive at the appointment and unable to access your pet, or if you choose not to have one or more of your pets groomed. You will be responsible for the total cost of the booked services 3. We will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes before considering you a “no show.” In case of a “no show.” The total cost of appointment will be charged.

ARRIVAL TIME:

While we strive to maintain punctuality, unforeseen circumstances such as unpredictable pet behavior , customer delays , and traffic condition in San Diego may cause slight variations in our arrival time. To account for this. We kindly request that you allocate an hour before and after your schedule appointment time for our vans’ arrival. Our groomer typically parks on the street, and we want to inform you that we cannot be held responsible for ant fluid drops or damage that may occur to your driveway.

VACCINATION:

It is your responsibility to ensure that your pet is up-to-date with all vaccinations, and you must accept any risks and consequences that may arise if your pet is not vaccinated. We highly recommend vaccinating your pets against diseases such as rabies, distemper and others for their well-being and protection.

SKIN, EYE, AND EARS:

Diva Doggy Spa cannot be held responsible for any skin, eye, or ear irritation that may occur as a result of shampoo sensitivity or an underlying condition. Our shampoos are of high quality, professional-grade, pH-balanced, environmentally friendly, and non-toxic, while we take great care when trimming hair around the eyes, there is a possibility of eye irritation if a hair particle enters the eye. Pets may scratch their eyes with their feet, potentially causing additional irritation. We cannot assume responsibility for such self inflicted injuries. For ear cleaning, we use professional pet ear cleaner, which can help uncover underlying ear infection. However, we cannot be held responsible for any pre-existing or emergency health issues that may arise.

DIFFICULT PETS:

At Diva Doggy Spa , the safety and well-being of both our groomers and your pets are of utmost importance. We do not provide grooming services for aggressive pets. If your dog has a history of biting or has attempted to bite a person, we kindly advise you to consult with your veterinarian to explore alternative grooming options that prioritize everyone’s safety. During a grooming session, if our groomer determines that there is risk of injury to either the pet or themselves, they will promptly conclude the grooming cession. In such cases, charges will be prorated with a minimum fee of $80.

SENIOR AND SPECIAL NEEDS PETS:

At Diva Doggy Spa , we approach the grooming of senior and special needs pets with utmost care and consideration. Our priority is to ensure their cleanliness and comfort while keeping their health and safety in mind. While providing grooming services, we understand that some senior and special needs pets may have limitations or sensitivities. Therefore, not all services, such as de-matting, nail trimming, or blow drying, may be suitable or necessary for their well-being. We tailor the grooming session to prioritize their comfort and avoid any unnecessary stress. For the health and safety of senior pets aged 13 years or older, we recommend having them groomed at a veterinarian facility.

PET ILLNESS:

To ensure the health and well-being of all pets in our care, we kindly request that if your pet is exhibiting any symptoms of a communicable illness such as coughing, diarrhea, fever or any other concerning signs, you reschedule your appointment and seek veterinarian care. If we notice any of these symptoms upon arrival for your scheduled appointment, we will regrettably have to cancel the appointment. This precautionary measure is taken as a courtesy not only to protect the other pets in our care but also to safeguard the well-being of your own pet. Please note that a trip fee of $70 will be required in such cases.
